"Tar Baby" remark gets Mitt in a "sticky situation"

Kiss any black vote goodbye!

I hate to see something this good after I've shut down the PC for the evening because I now must post via the laptop. Damn!

Gov. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts has apologized for referring to the troubled Big Dig construction project as a "tar baby" during a fundraiser with Iowa Republicans.

What the hell gets into these Presidential aspirants when they get into the cornfields with those Iowa Republicans?
Cornholio? Sweet mother of Jesus.

"The best thing politically would be to stay as far away from that tar baby as I can," he told a crowd of about 100 supporters in Ames, Iowa.

Romney's spokesman, Eric Fehrnstrom, said the governor was describing "a sticky situation."

Oh yeah... real sticky. Why not just blame the faulty tunnel construction on Negro workers? Couldn't do much worse at this point.
