Til Tuesday - Voices Carry
I first saw Aimee Mann in Boston in 1981 while taking some college classes at Harvard Summer School.
She and her band, called "The Young Snakes," were playing some dark dive bar to a sparse crowd.
After their set, the band retreated to a booth in a corner for some drinks. I wanted to go over and say hi and tell her how much I enjoyed the set and what talent she had. Damn shyness got in the way again.
I still have one of their songs on a Modern Method compilation album released by local radio station WBCN. Damn fine radio station that one was!
