txrad and I are pickle fanatics. We were delighted to find these luscious gems at a nearby supermarket. We don't buy food products with artificial ingredients or artificial colors, and we like to keep preservatives to a minimum unless they are natural.
I will rant endlessly about the American infatuation for aesthetics over substance when it comes to food presentation -- especially if it involves artificial colors to make something more pleasing to the eye.
These Gundelsheim barrel pickles are a product of Germany and contain only gherkins, vinegar, sugar, spices, salt, and natural flavors. Yum, yum!
