Not sure what's going on in the other 49 states but here's the scoop in Texas.
We just got our 6-month automobile insurance renewal notice. In the last 6-month period the premium was $800 and the next 6-month premium will be $995 and some change. That, folks, is a 24% increase. And we're accident-free.
My guess is the insurance industry is going to be a huge beneficiary of the economic stimulus package.
