Clergy Condemn Anti-Gay Federal Amendment

It’s about time we started hearing from some religious circles on this topic.Check out the story at 365gay.com..

The Reverend Paul Simmons compared supporters of the constitutional amendment banning same sex marriage to "colonial Puritans who burned witches."

The proposed amendment would bar same-sex couples from marrying, block courts and state legislatures allowing gay marriage, nullify marriages already performed in Massachusetts - the only state in the country where they are currently legal - and according to critics possibly block civil unions and override domestic partner laws.

Yep, that would set up an interesting confrontation with the great Commonwealth of Massachusetts, wouldn't it?
