Well then! Sign me up!

Oh... only the young and cute with six-pack abs need apply? Damn. Never mind; I'll keep my day job. Besides, it isn't so great if you can only work an hour a day, and having to skip a day every now and then.

Every Picture Tells a Story Don't It?

As teenagers’ scores on standardized reading tests have declined or stagnated, some argue that the hours spent prowling the Internet are the enemy of reading — diminishing literacy, wrecking attention spans and destroying a precious common culture that exists only through the reading of books.

But others say the Internet has created a new kind of reading, one that schools and society should not discount. The Web inspires a teenager like Nadia, who might otherwise spend most of her leisure time watching television, to read and write.

For Your Inner Geek

One of the things I enjoy doing when I'm not blogging or reading blogs is checking out real estate on the net. Today I stumbled across trulia.com and the heat maps in particular give me yet another excuse to squander away hours which could be better spent doing something productive. Sigh.



Green areas represent lowest average listing prices and orange areas represent the highest average listing prices. Cool, huh.
