Sure, Blame Clinton

Some pair of cojones John McCain is swinging around.

While campaigning in Michigan for Republican Senate candidate Mike Bouchard, McCain accused Clinton of failing in the 1990s to stop North Korea from developing nuclear weapons.

Hmm. Who declared North Korea part of the "axis of evil?" Is Bush incapable of dealing with the North Korean situation? It's not like the man just stepped into the White House last month. This has been going on for almost 6 years now.

McCain is obviously stumping for himself as much as anyone. It's interesting how he brought Hillary into the mix:

"I would remind Senator (Hillary) Clinton and other Democrats critical of the Bush administration's policies that the framework agreement her husband's administration negotiated was a failure."
Philippe Reines, a spokesman for Clinton, responded:
Five years after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, Bush "has allowed the 'axis of evil' to spin out of control. Our Iraq policy is a failure. Iran is going nuclear and North Korea is testing nuclear weapons," the statement said.
Unfortunately, the "axis of evil" is just one of many things that have spun out of control during the reign of Bush, with more than two years remaining.
